Heritage Lace Company History, Yesterday And Today

By: smartadmin

In November 1983, Bruce Heerema and Mark De Cook founded Heritage Imports, which later became Heritage Lace in 1998. The firm began importing and marketing European curtain lace in bolts, and soon found a niche serving the needs of small, independent speciality retailers such as the Linen Locker. With a strong commitment to quality and service, Heritage Lace offered products which were readily accepted by consumers, and distributions throughout North America. In the early 1990's, which was about the time the Linen Locker was founded, Heritage Lace expanded into ready made lace curtains and table accessories.

Heritage Lace has grown into a large collection of home products. There selection now includes many styles of lace curtains, table cloths, wall decor, mantel scarf as well as lace gift specialties. Each piece is original and exclusive because it is designed in its own factory located in Oxford North Carolina, and Pella, Iowa.

Heritage Lace is now a booming company. Over time the lace line continues to expand, the commitment to quality and service is as strong as ever, and Heritage Lace is recognized for innovation and leadership in its industry. They create new products with ideas from the consumers needs. At Heritage Lace each concept begins as a rough sketch by staff designers. Once perfected, a drawing is translated into computer data. The computer data is then transforms a complete original idea into beautiful lace.

A talented in house design team in North Carolina, enables Heritage Lace to respond creatively to market demand for new products. Heritage Lace is unique in that there factory is located in Oxford, North Carolina, USA. The factory is highly automated. It is operated according to the strictest quality and production standards. This results in finely woven lace products with wonderful detail and delicate edging and deep, ornate scallops. Lace items receive further hand finishing at the plant in Pella, Iowa, where hand cutting, sewing and other operations are finished. Each Heritage Lace product is colorfast and easy to care. Almost all products are machine washable and will retain their beauty and vibrant color through repeated laundering.

The Linen Locker is proud to carry only Heritage Lace in our lace line. We consider Heritage Lace to be a leader in lace fashion and quality,
